For a second year in a row, Timeshare Relief received the Best of Torrance Award sponsored by the US Commerce Association (USCA) and recognizes exceptional local businesses in the US. Every year the USCA identifies businesses that enhance the positive image of small business through their dedication to customer service and community support.
The Best of Torrance Award in 2010 was again a pleasant surprise especially since only a scant 1.4% (1 in 70) of small businesses nationwide qualify as repeat Awardees. It’s proof-positive that not only does company provide a great service, it does so with the customer in mind.
“We are honored to be chosen for the Best of Torrance Award,” said David MacMillan, Founder and President of Timeshare Relief. “We put together a small team dedicated to helping people. Today our business model has allowed us to grow and help tens of thousands of dissatisfied timeshare owners get out of timeshares.
If you go to the home webpage of Timeshare Relief, make sure you visit the Our Team section and read about some of the people that make up the company. One thing that you’ll notice right away is the sheer number of people that work with the company. (There are even more, but not everyone likes to have a public profile.)
Understand that everyone is proud to be associated with Timeshare Relief and the services we provide to our clients. That’s why we have so many profiles online, including the co-founders of the company, the executive staff, our travel team of timeshare owner advocates, our customer service team and our internet team.
Look, transparency in business is very important especially in today’s information age. We know that timeshare owners have been targeted by shady, fly-by-night companies and people in the timeshare resales market. These timeshare scams hide behind anonymity and deception. It’s one of the reasons why we want to do the opposite!
It’s rare to have people stand up for what they believe in. Yet, there are dozens and dozens at Timeshare Relief, starting with David Macmillan and Cindy Martin Macmillan, the co-founders of the company. We’re all passionate about helping owners get out of bad situations and begin the financial healing process.
We hope that you get to know us. We look forward to meeting you either in person or on the telephone. Then, we hope to earn your business if you feel that you want to make a decision to get rid of your timeshare and achieve some financial relief.
It’s hard to believe that another year and another DECADE has passed. Time flies. This certainly holds true for Timeshare Relief which will start it’s seventh year in business in 2010. Co-founders David Macmillan and Cindy Martin could not have imagined that their difficult timeshare experience could lead to 7 years in business and helping tens of thousands of timeshare owners get rid of their timeshares. It’s truly been a helluva ride!
So, on the last day of 2009, we would like to show our gratitude to all of our clients, our staff and our vendors for their trust and relationships, hard work and perseverance, and generosity and patience. We’re proud of the accomplishments you have made into a reality this year like being ranked #318 on the Inc. 500 list and receiving the Best in Torrance Award. We know that without you, there would be no Timeshare Relief.
May you and yours have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and a Happy New Year! Make 2010 your greatest ever!
Co-founders of Timeshare Relief, Cindy Martin and David Macmillan started the company after experiencing the difficulties of trying to get rid of their timeshare. One of the reasons for the success of Timeshare Relief is due to the fact that they can personally relate to all timeshare owners who have had troubles with their timeshares.
Back in 1999, Cindy and David were invited to a timeshare presentation fully expecting to walk away with a free gift after spending 90 minutes enduring the hard sales pitch. Like many timeshare owners before them, they walked out owning a timeshare contract instead.
They soon discovered that scheduling time at their timeshare was problematic. The timeshare required nearly a year in advance to book and availability seemed scarce. With a heavy workload and family considerations, it was nearly impossible plan so far in the future.
Instead of paying for something that they did not use, Cindy and David tried to get rid of their timeshare, at first trying to sell it. They paid a real estate broker upfront to sell it, and were disappointed when the timeshare was only “listed” for sale and not one buyer contacted them. They tried many other methods, meeting other timeshare owners along the way with similar experiences.
In 2004, after finding a solution for timeshare owners who wanted to rid themselves of unwanted timeshares, Cindy and David launched Timeshare Relief, Inc. They put together a small team dedicated to helping people. Today, Timeshare Relief has been recognized in the Inc. 500 and has received other business awards. Most importantly, tens of thousands of timeshare contracts no longer burden the clients of Timeshare Relief.
