One common theme of some Timeshare Relief clients is a timeshare dilemma of whether to pass their timeshares and the associated fees and debt onto their children and heirs. What they don’t understand is that a majority of the children do not want the timeshares, especially if they come with fees and debt. Inherited timeshares are normally older, require more maintenance and upkeep and may have fallen out of favor in terms of modern amenities and location.

Ron & Joyce faced the timeshare dilemma recently. They had seen a Timeshare Relief presentation before, yet came again to analyze the Timeshare Relief option once more. They were not sure about paying to get rid of their timeshare. They wanted something back for a timeshare after spending too much money on the timeshare in the first place. But, they did not want to pay any more and certainly did not want their children to pay for the timeshare.

<del datetime="2010-08-23T11:23" cite="mailto:Ed"> </del>

As they spent more time consulting with Timeshare Relief representatives<del datetime="2010-01-15T11:12" cite="mailto:Ed"></del><ins datetime="2010-01-15T11:12" cite="mailto:Ed"></ins>, they realized that over time they would save a lot more money over the years by not paying the annual maintenance fees on their timeshares. The maintenance fees were a point of contention for the couple, having doubled within the last five years. In 2009 alone, the maintenance fees were over $5000. They worried that the fee hike constituted a trend. It was hard to imagine the impact on their finances if that happened again over the next five years, or worse what it meant should the timeshares be inherited by their children. Ron & Joyce felt that they really needed to get out of making those payments if they could.

The couple worried about passing the debt on to their heirs. They wanted to work with Timeshare Relief to prevent this from happening. This is a valid concern for many timeshare owners. Many couples, such as Ron & Joyce search for answers to help them with this problem. They come to Timeshare Relief with the question: if our timeshare is passed on to our heirs, who is responsible for the payments from then on? After other stops with people that couldn’t answer that question, couples such as Ron & Joyce, go to Timeshare Relief to see if they can get help to keep this from happening. Ron & Joyce felt better about having a chance to work with Timeshare Relief to consider their options for this problem.

Donald and Debbie Ogden met with Timeshare Relief in Ontario, California for a consultation concerning issues with their timeshare properties. The couple wanted advice on what they could do to get rid of three timeshare properties they owned. The timeshares were costing them maintenance fees of $109 per month. The couple calculated that to be about $1308 annually.

Donald and Debbie are like many timeshare owners that find that timeshares have some unforeseen consequences. Donald noted that $1308 a year was becoming a burden, and he predicted that the maintenance fees would probably go up over the years. The couple worried about passing the burden on to their son if he inherited the properties. Donald felt that he wanted to part with the timeshares mainly for this reason.

Through working with Timeshare Relief, the Ogdens were able to come to a solution to part with the three timeshare properties. Donald and Debbie were a little concerned about how long the transaction would take to complete, but overall they were satisfied with the outcome. Donald even joked during an interview when he was asked if he felt relief. He said that he didn’t feel relief yet, but should soon. The couple seemed very happy that they had worked out the problem with Timeshare Relief.

The first big update is the new, quick-cut video on the home page. It shows some of the people that work hard to make sure that each one of our clients is taken care of and that all their timeshares are properly transferred. There’s an underlying passion to serve our clients and the timeshare industry. This passion fuels the company with purpose and some would say, joy. So, the atmosphere at the office is fun and enjoyable. We hope that comes through on the video.

The redesigned company web portal also provides an improved layout that should help timeshare owners quickly find the information that they are looking for. The menu bar has the following items: Home, Timeshare Relief, Testimonials, Our Team, FAQs, Charities, News, Webinar. Check out all of them by clicking on each link.

You’ll also find a contact information form on the right side. If you want to get out of your timeshare, you can fill in your information and click on the “Submit” button. One of our friendly & expert representatives will contact you very soon after to talk to you about your timeshare.

You can also see of couple of videos, testimonials, and a feature of one of our consumer advisors. So, check it out today!

Interviewer: All right, for the record, if it’s okay, what is your name?

Edwin Boyer: My name is Edwin Boyer. My wife’s name is Mary Lou Boyer, and we purchased a timeshare at which time we were thinking of going to Hawaii, and we never got there. And the misrepresentation of the timeshare that we purchased and the situation of not being to able to ever use it, we wanted to get rid of it, and found you can’t sell them. You can’t give them away. We couldn’t get rid of it.

Interviewer: Are you satisfied with the service that Timeshare Relief has provided?

Edwin Boyer: Yes. They did a very good job. I went to a meeting over in West Palm Beach and spoke over the phone to two people involved there. There was a leader and a girl that helped us specifically. I don’t remember their names, but they were very polite. The program was presented very well so people understood it. It was almost apathetic. They were telling us what we already found out by trying to sell it to Century 21 and trying to sell it on our own and trying to get rid of it and the fact is you can’t really get rid of it. It’s a nuisance more than it is an asset.

Interviewer: Did you enjoy receiving the notification of final transfer?

Edwin Boyer: That was a party day for us.

Interviewer: Did you try any other service – well you already told me that, but –

Edwin Boyer: Yeah. We only tried to sell it on our own and we tried to sell it through Century 21, and we tried to sell it through the owners at that time, which was West Gate. And West Gate was not only not cooperative in selling it, we were current with all of our fees and charges, but they didn’t even want to hear anything. They said, “We don’t sell them.” So, even though they were having current meetings selling people the same property in the same timeshare area, they had no interest in us adding our property to that list to be sold.

Interviewer: On a scale of 1-10, what is your overall satisfaction level with our service?

Edwin Boyer: It was 10. We had party that day.

Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with Timeshare Relief?

Edwin Boyer: No, worked pretty good. The only thing I would say, and it’s not Timeshare Relief’s fault, is that the people involved with the paperwork still tried to send us bills the following year. At which point, your people got involved and took the bills away from them and got it resolved so there weren’t bills coming to us any longer.

Interviewer: Based on your experience, would you recommend our service?

Edwin Boyer: Absolutely. Matter of fact, you’re the only service that I found that gets people out of them. Anybody will offer to put them up for sale because they get to charge you 500 to put it on their website, and to do something for you — or whatever the fee may be — they get some monetary compensation immediately. And they have no intention of ever helping you sell.

Interviewer: All right, it sounds like you were pleased with your experience with us.

Edwin Boyer: Yeah, I’m glad you called. We have no problems at all.

Interviewer: Thank you so much and have a nice day.

Edwin Boyer: I appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Testimonial providers are not paid for their opinions. Timeshare Relief makes no claim that they can work with all timeshare owners as qualifications do apply; for example, Timeshare Relief can only accept timeshares that are paid in full. Clients of Timeshare Relief pay a service fee for timeshare transfer services.

After agreeing to work with Timeshare Relief, the Campbells shared a story about their experience with timeshare listing companies that represent themselves as resale companies. After being burned twice, Ms. Campbell received a call from another company promising to sell her timeshare. She definitely did not want to put any more money upfront, so she asked the caller to work on a commission only.

The telemarketer continued with the sales pitch but grew increasingly frustrated as he could not convince Ms. Campbell to agree to the service he was providing. Finally, he gives up and insults her for buying a timeshare in the first place.

Given those experiences, the Campbells went ahead and worked with Timeshare Relief to get rid of their timeshare. We’re grateful for them to having an open mind and trusting us to put their timeshare behind them. We hope it’s because of our long-standing track record of success, our people who meet with timeshare owners everyday, and our caring to provide owners the knowledge and education to make good informed decisions.

Since they purchased their Orlando timeshare in 2000, Sharon and her husband never ever used it. Yet, they paid the mortgage and maintenance fees dutifully until Sharon developed a tumor.

At the suggestion of their resort, they wrote a hardship letter to the resort to ask for some relief from the payments during the difficult time. Well, the left-hand did not know what the right-hand of the resort was doing. The resort management responded with a “too bad, so sad” letter according to Sharon and did not help.

In fact, the resort later sent a collection agency to recover the payments and charged a 25% interest penalty. How Sharon could recount these memories and smile is amazing! So, upon becoming clients of Timeshare Relief, they had a gigantic burden lifted from them.

Watch the video again and see the joy and a physical manifestation of the removal of the invisible weight of timeshare ownership.

Tracy & Richard had several negative experiences with their timeshare. So, they scheduled to meet with Timeshare Relief in Ontario, California to share their experiences with them. They hoped Timeshare Relief would help them get rid of the timeshare. The couple purchased their timeshare roughly ten years ago in 1999.

There were several things that happened during their ownership that led them to feel that their timeshare experience was not what they expected. Some of the reasons they described to Timeshare Relief that they were most upset about included the following:

The timeshare maintenance fees had more than doubled over the duration of owning their timeshare

Desired destinations were often unavailable to them when they tried to exchange their timeshare

Tracy and Richard tried not paying on the timeshare when they had financial issues. They had heard second hand that owning a timeshare was like owning a lease and could drop it by not paying for it. Also, they felt they didn’t really own the property. After all, it was in another country.

Unfortunately, they hadn’t learned to read the fine print on their contract to avoid legal problems. The contracts can be binding, even if they are in other countries. The couple found out the hard way when they received a nasty collection letter within a month’s time threatening legal action.

The final straw occurred when Tracy’s cousin was getting married. They had planned to give her a honeymoon gift by allowing her to spend it at an exchanged timeshare in Las Vegas. To their frustration, instead of exchanging the timeshare as they had planned, they found a timeshare for rent for $250 for a week. Tracy realized the timeshare rental had been purchased for $45,000. They had to settle for the $250 rental instead of exchanging their own timeshare for $1000 ($835 in maintenance fees and $165 in exchange fees).

Tracy and Richard decided to finally take action after what they felt was the last insult. After their bad experiences, Tracy and Richard were pleased that Timeshare Relief was able to come up with a solution to rid them of their timeshare problem. Timeshare Relief was able to take it off their hands.

On occasion, Timeshare Relief Executive Consultants like JC and Linda Skidmore meet a timeshare owner that has a past that’s widely known. In this case, the Skidmores met Mary Wood who is the humble and modest wife of late Coach Marvin Wood. Coach Wood and his basketball team inspired the movie, “Hoosiers” and was played by Gene Hackman.

Mrs. Wood had two timeshares that she and her husband had purchased before Coach Wood passed. She says that she was “relieved” to be rid of them. Although she enjoyed the use of the timeshares over the years, she evidently did not want pass along the timeshares and their associated fees to her children.

In the video, JC does most of the talking. But it’s apparent that the demur and proper Mrs. Wood is genuinely happy and satisfied with her decision to work with Timeshare Relief.
