At Timeshare Relief, we have met with some timeshare owners who have been burned on timeshare resales deals, or clump Timeshare Relief together with those types of nefarious companies.  They meet our representatives with their defenses on high alert but still searching for a way out of their timeshares.

Leo Brosseau was in this situation.  He felt like he was going to get “shafted” before meeting with us.  Soon, he realized that Timeshare Relief was there to help him.  Hear it in his own words below…

Interviewer:                       Alright, for the record, if it’s okay, what is your name?

Leo Brosseau:                    My name is Leo Brosseau.

Interviewer:                       Are you satisfied with the service that Timeshare Relief has provided?

Leo Brosseau:                    I am more than satisfied with it.  I wish I’d heard about you ten years earlier.  You did a great job for me.

Interviewer:                       Are you still paying for your timeshare?

Leo Brosseau:                    No, sir, we are not.

Interviewer:                       Did you enjoy receiving the notification of final transfer?

Leo Brosseau:                    I was overjoyed, believe me.

Interviewer:                       On a scale of 1-10, what is your overall satisfaction level with our service?

Leo Brosseau:                    10.

Interviewer:                       Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with Timeshare Relief?

Leo Brosseau:                    Well, I just think – I’d like to tell you that I thought all of your people were more than courteous and patient with people like me, who thought we were going to get shafted in the beginning.  And due to the patience of your own people, I found out that you were doing me a favor.  So, that’s about all I want to say.  I think you done a great job for me and I would recommend you to anybody that wanted to talk to me about it.

Interviewer:                       All right.  It sounds like you were pleased with your experience with us.  Thank you so much for your time –

Leo Brosseau:                    Okay.  You have a good day.

Interviewer:                       You too.

Leo Brosseau:                    Okay.  Bye-bye.

Timeshare Relief client Joan Koehler had tried to get rid of her timeshare, but like many others faced difficulty and lost money doing so.  Hear the relief in her voice when she responds to the questions of our interviewer.  Between the timeshare resales companies taking money for little to show for it and the consistent maintenance fee payments, it’s no wonder why Ms. Koehler felt as she did.  We’re just glad that we were able to help her.

Interviewer:                       All right, for the record, if it’s okay, what is your name?

Joan Koehler:                    Joan Koehler.

Interviewer:                       Are you satisfied with the service that Timeshare Relief has provided?

Joan Koehler:                    Yes, I am.  I was having a lot of trouble before and it smoothed it right out for me.

Interviewer:                       Are you still paying for your timeshare?

Joan Koehler:                    No.  No, it went through in a timely manner, and just everything was as I was told.

Interviewer:                       Did you enjoy receiving the notification of final transfer?

Joan Koehler:                    Yes.

Interviewer:                       Did you try any other service to get out of your timeshare?

Joan Koehler:                    Yes.  Timeshares Only, and I live in Florida and they’ve got signs all over the place, and they love to advertise on the TV and every place else, but they’re liars.  It took $300.  They wanted money upfront.  I hated them.

Interviewer:                       On a scale of 1-10, what is your overall satisfaction level with our service?

Joan Koehler:                    8.

Interviewer:                       Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with Timeshare Relief?

Joan Koehler:                    No, that’s about it.  I was really kind of shy about putting out the money I had to put out, but it was worth it.  It wasn’t half as much for me as I lost in the first place.

Interviewer:                       Based on your experience, would you recommend our service?

Joan Koehler:                    Yes, I think so.

Interviewer:                       Sounds like you were pleased with your experience with us.  Thank you so much and have a nice day.

Joan Koehler:                    Thank you.  Bye-bye.
Please note that this testimonial was not paid for her response.  Timeshare Relief makes no claim that they can work with all timeshare owners as qualifications do apply.  Clients of Timeshare Relief pay a service fee for timeshare transfer services.

Wayne Stenehjem timeshareWe found an interesting guest column piece about timeshares by Wayne Stenehjem, the Attorney General of North Dakota at www.consumeraffairs.com.  If you don’t know, Mr. Stenehjem has been quite active in investigating the minority of timeshare companies for misleading sales claims and violations of certain solicitation & telemarketing laws in the state.  So, he has some experience with timeshares and how they are sold.

In the article, Mr. Stenehjem describes what a timeshare is.  He reiterates some common knowledge that timeshares should not be viewed as investments but as vacation destinations, and that the resale value of a timeshare “may not be as high as what you paid for the plan in the first place as there are so many options available today.”

He then describes how people typically use timeshares and vacation interval plans.  The concept of maintenance fees is brought up an it’s pointed out that the “fees are likely to increase every year.”

The article concludes with a number of tips on how to avoid timeshare scams.  Most are common sense recommendations, but are also forgotten easily when prospective buyers are swept up in the hoopla of buying a timeshare (paraphrased):

  • Don’t buy a timeshare on the initial offer.  Take time to review it.
  • Read the contract.  Have an attorney look at it.
  • Research the timeshare industry & the seller.  Know what you are buying.
  • Inquire about your ability to cancel.  Different states have different laws.
  • Use an escrow account for the transaction.
  • Be aware that laws may apply to you that are different than in your home state if you purchase out of your state.
  • US laws may not apply if you purchase a timeshare outside of the country.

Interviewer:       All right, for the record, if it’s ok, what is your name?

Ann Blevins:       My name is Ann Blevins.

Interviewer:       Are you satisfied with the service that Timeshare Relief has provided?

Ann Blevins:       Yes, I am because I had tried so many times to get rid of this timeshare because I wasn’t using it.  And, I was so glad when they decided that they would take it from me.

Interviewer:       Are you still paying for your timeshare?

Ann Blevins:       No, I am not.

Interviewer:       Did you enjoy receiving the notification of final transfer?

Ann Blevins:       Yes, for the record, I reached out for joy.

Interviewer:       Did you try any other service to get you out of your timeshare?

Ann Blevins:       I tried many services but only thing they did was take my money and never—and then eventually when I did – they did contact me, they’re sorry they couldn’t sell it.  And in the beginning, they had promised me I would receive my money back if they couldn’t sell it.  But they – and they wasn’t true to their word.

Interviewer:       Why did you decide to go with Timeshare Relief?

Ann Blevins:       Oh well I – my son had bought one and they sent him the card concerning, you know, that if he wanted to get rid of it they would take it off his hands.  So, I just called to fill it out and sent it back and put my name and told them I had one that I wanted to rid but I would use some other, so basically I said that I would get back to him.

Interviewer:       On a scale of 1-10, what is your overall satisfaction level with our service?

Ann Blevins:       Well, I don’t know. I just was not – I was pleased with them. I don’t know any fault on their part.  Of course, I had to go through a lot of paperwork to get things straightened out, but I was satisfied with this company for taking it off my hands.

Interviewer:       Based on your experience, would you recommend our service?

Ann Blevins:       Yes, I would.

Interviewer:       Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with Timeshare Relief?

Ann Blevins:       No, I don’t know of anything else, but I was just happy to get rid of it because one reason I – it’s not that I didn’t like the timeshare but I never used it in the first place because when I – my sister thought that she would be going there every time when she retired and then she continued to work and we never did get a chance to use it.  So, I just thought that we had spent a lot of money in it because we planned to see it often and so we just said that this would make sense the whole let us keep paying for the upkeep of it.

Interviewer:       Okay, thank you so much.  It sounds like you were pleased with your experience with us.

Ann Blevins:       Yes, I am.  And I want to thank you very much for it.

Interviewer:       Alright, thank you and have a nice day.

Ann Blevins:       You too.  Bye

If you go to the home webpage of Timeshare Relief, make sure you visit the Our Team section and read about some of the people that make up the company.  One thing that you’ll notice right away is the sheer number of people that work with the company.  (There are even more, but not everyone likes to have a public profile.)

Timeshare Relief people

Understand that everyone is proud to be associated with Timeshare Relief and the services we provide to our clients.  That’s why we have so many profiles online, including the co-founders of the company, the executive staff, our travel team of timeshare owner advocates, our customer service team and our internet team.

Look, transparency in business is very important especially in today’s information age.  We know that timeshare owners have been targeted by shady, fly-by-night companies and people in the timeshare resales market.  These timeshare scams hide behind anonymity and deception.  It’s one of the reasons why we want to do the opposite!

It’s rare to have people stand up for what they believe in.  Yet, there are dozens and dozens at Timeshare Relief, starting with David Macmillan and Cindy Martin Macmillan, the co-founders of the company.  We’re all passionate about helping owners get out of bad situations and begin the financial healing process.

We hope that you get to know us.  We look forward to meeting you either in person or on the telephone.  Then, we hope to earn your business if you feel that you want to make a decision to get rid of your timeshare and achieve some financial relief.
